PREMIUM: My teaching - Part 4: Completing and marking the Engage Task
The register has been taken. The Engage Task has been finished. Equipment has been handed out. What next?
The story so far…
I have been looking at how I used to teach (when my pupils achieved impressive results) and how I teach now. I don’t think I am doing anything particularly impressive now, but I still think it’s worth reflecting on what I do.
In Part 1, I described the context in which I teach.
I teach part-time and don’t have my own classroom.
My school has policies which dictate many lesson features and routines.
As part of those policies, all lessons are based around workbooks.
I also described how I start my lessons.
In Part 2, I described what I do up until the end of the register.
In Part 3, I described how I hand out equipment, such as mini whiteboards, during the Engage Task.
In this post, I will describe what happens after the Engage Task.
