The third organisation for the hall of shame is the NEU. Vague enough to avoid inaccuracy, but very misleading. Remember, other unions are available. https://neu.org.uk/latest/press-releases/agenda-alliance-black-caribbean-girls-exclusions

Sorry, I take that back. The phrase "These disproportionate rates of exclusion signal that educational institutions are failing young people who belong to minoritised groups." is objectively false.

A late entrant for the hall of shame, an obscure think tank called Ekklesia. https://www.ekklesia.co.uk/2024/02/19/black-caribbean-girls-disproportionately-excluded-from-school/

Another entry. This is a magazine and website for "professionals working at all levels with children, young people and families". https://www.cypnow.co.uk/news/article/gypsy-roma-and-traveller-girls-being-disproportionately-excluded-by-schools

There really hasn't been a lot of news organisations taking the bait this year. (Although I guess we haven't got to the Sunday papers yet). Another non-news organisation shared it here: https://www.rota.org.uk/2024/02/09/extremely-worrying-new-figures-show-school-exclusions-for-black-caribbean-girls-are-rising-again/

And the second publication for the hall of shame is The Big Issue. Its headline is false. I told you that people would be misled. https://www.bigissue.com/news/social-justice/black-girls-excluded-school-agenda-alliance/

And the first news organisation for the hall of shame is The Independent. Reporting on the exclusions of 46 girls like it was a big number. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/black-caribbean-schoolgirls-excluded-school-b2492208.html
